Our Mission
Waycode is a project-based learning platform for developers. Our community guidelines ensure a safe, respectful, and productive environment for learning and collaboration.
These guidelines apply to all content and interactions on Waycode, including threads, publications, vaults, discussions, study rooms, direct messages, teams, comments, and profile content.
Be Respectful
Treat others with respect and professionalism. Disagreement is fine; harassment is not.
Examples of unacceptable behavior:
- Personal attacks, insults, or name-calling
- Bullying, intimidation, or targeted harassment
- Misgendering or deadnaming
- Doxxing (sharing private information without consent)
- Unwanted sexual advances or comments
- Stalking or following users across the platform
No Hate Speech
We do not tolerate content that promotes or incites hatred, violence, or discrimination based on:
- Race, ethnicity, or national origin
- Religion or belief
- Gender, gender identity, or gender expression
- Sexual orientation
- Age (beyond reasonable criticism)
- Disability or medical condition
- Caste or social class
- Veteran or immigration status
No Harassment or Bullying
Harassment includes any repeated or severe unwanted contact, commentary, or behavior that makes someone feel intimidated, humiliated, or distressed.
- Sending repeated unwanted messages
- Creating content specifically to mock or attack someone
- Coordinating with others to harass a user (brigading)
- Following a user across different areas of the platform to harass them
- Encouraging others to violate these guidelines
Content Standards
Keep It Appropriate for 14+
Waycode's minimum age is 14. All content must be appropriate for a 14+ audience.
Prohibited content:
- Pornography or sexually explicit material
- Sexually explicit text in any content (threads, stories, comments)
- Gratuitous violence, gore, or torture
- Content promoting self-harm, eating disorders, or suicide
- Content promoting illegal drug use
- Plagiarism — submit only your own work or provide attribution
- Spam — repetitive, irrelevant, or unsolicited content
- Misinformation — false or misleading information, especially health/safety
File Upload Guidelines (Vaults)
- Do not upload malware, viruses, trojans, or malicious code
- Do not upload copyrighted material without authorization
- Do not upload content that violates any law
- Do not use vault preview images for NSFW content
- Files must relate to the vault topic and provide genuine learning value
Study Rooms
- Study rooms are collaborative spaces — be constructive and helpful
- Respect the topic and purpose of each room
- Follow the room moderator's instructions
- Do not record or share study room content outside the room without participant consent
Direct Messages
- Unsolicited advertising or promotion via DM is prohibited
- Harassment via DM is a violation of these guidelines
- If someone asks you to stop contacting them via DM, you must respect that request
- Report abusive DMs to legal@waycode.in
No Impersonation
Do not impersonate:
- Waycode staff or moderators
- Other users
- Public figures or organizations
- Companies or brands
Parody accounts are permitted if clearly labeled as parody and not intended to deceive.
No Platform Abuse
- Do not create multiple accounts to evade restrictions or bans
- Do not exploit bugs or vulnerabilities (report them instead to legal@waycode.in)
- Do not use automated tools (bots, scrapers) without permission
- Do not attempt to bypass rate limits or security controls
Reporting Violations
How to Report
- Content — Use the report button on threads, publications, vaults, discussions, and study rooms
- Users — Use the report option on user profiles
- Direct Messages — Email legal@waycode.in with screenshots
- Emergency — For immediate safety concerns, email legal@waycode.in
What to Include
- Link or location of the content
- Description of the violation
- Any relevant context or evidence
We aim to review all reports within 48 hours. Urgent matters receive priority.
Enforcement

Appeals: If you believe enforcement was in error, email legal@waycode.in. Appeals are reviewed within 14 days.
Content Moderation
Waycode uses a reactive moderation model — we rely on user reports to identify violations. We do not pre-moderate content. We reserve the right to proactively remove content that violates these guidelines or the law.
Encouraged Behavior
- Provide constructive, helpful feedback on others' work
- Give credit and attribution when using others' ideas or code
- Welcome newcomers and help them learn
- Report violations when you see them
- Respect different skill levels and learning paces
Updates to Guidelines
We may update these guidelines as needed. Significant changes will be announced on the Platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
